Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935, by President Franklin Roosevelt. Its construction was the result of a massive effort involving thousands of workers, and cost over one hundred lives. The dam was controversially named in honor of President Herbert Hoover.

Since about 1900, the Black Canyon and nearby Boulder Canyon had been investigated for their potential to support a dam that would control floods, provide irrigation water and producehydroelectric power. In 1928, Congress authorized the project. The winning bid to build the dam was submitted by a consortium called Six Companies, Inc., which began construction on the dam in early 1931. Such a large concrete structure had never been built before, and some of the techniques were unproven. The torrid summer weather and the lack of facilities near the site also presented difficulties. Nevertheless, Six Companies turned over the dam to the federal government on March 1, 1936, more than two years ahead of schedule.

Hoover Dam impounds Lake Mead, and is located near Boulder City, Nevada, a municipality originally constructed for workers on the construction project, about 25 mi (40 km) southeast of Las Vegas, Nevada. The dam’s generators provide power for public and private utilities in Nevada, Arizona, and California. Hoover Dam is a major tourist attraction; nearly a million people tour the dam each year. Heavily travelled U.S. 93 ran along the dam’s crest until October 2010, when the Hoover Dam Bypass opened.

The EDF Energy London Eye (commonly the London Eye, or Millennium Wheel, formerly the Merlin Entertainments London Eye and before that, the British Airways London Eye) is a giant 135-metre (443 ft) tall Ferris wheel situated on the banks of the River Thames in the English capital. Since 20 January 2011, it has been officially known as the EDF Energy London Eye[2]following a three-year sponsorship deal.

It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe, and the most popular paid tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, visited by over 3.5 million people annually.[3] When erected in 1999, it was the tallest Ferris wheel in the world, until surpassed first by the 160 m (520 ft) Star of Nanchang in 2006, and then the 165 m (541 ft) Singapore Flyer in 2008. It is still described by its operators as “the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel” (as the wheel is supported by an A-frame on one side only, unlike the Nanchang and Singapore wheels).[4]

The London Eye is located at the western end of Jubilee Gardens, on the South Bank of the River Thames in the London Borough of Lambeth in England, between Westminster Bridge andHungerford Bridge. The site is adjacent to that of the former Dome of Discovery, which was built for the Festival of Britain in 1951.

Herman Miller Aeron Chair 3D Model

Herman Miller Aeron Chair 3D Model

The Aeron chair is a product of Herman Miller designed in 1994 by Don Chadwick and Bill Stumpf. It is an ergonomic chair that is regarded by many users as inherently very comfortable due to its wide range of fit (available in three sizes) and adjustability. Its novel design has gained it a spot in the Museum of Modern Art‘s permanent collection.[1] The chair’s exclusivity became a symbol of the dot-com bubble in the late 1990s.

The chair departs from a typical upholstery-over-cushioning-base design. Instead, the seat and back are made of a stretched, semi-transparent, and flexible mesh calledPellicle. It can be customized through modular extensions like lumbar support, sacral support (dubbed PostureFit), fixed or adjustable armrests and varied bases to accommodate diverse fields of deployment.

Structural 3D Modeling For Accurate 3D Models

"House" uploaded by greenleafapps

Structural 3d models are considered as template models of any building structure. It gives an exact visualization of your proposed building structure and 3D modeling is solely the process of creating a mathematical, wire frame representation of any three dimensional object using specialized computer software. It is used to create accurate and quick 3D models design.

Structural 3D modeling is a part of structural engineering services and can be identified as the process of developing a mathematical, wire frame representation of any 3D object using specialized computer techniques. It is used in development of excellent building models, custom residential structural models and Structural modeling for various types of buildings such as residential, commercial and industrial buildings.

The creation of a balanced structural 3D model is a collection of detailed steps, starting with a sketch-up of object. Structural modeling is all about creating accurate and reliable building 3D models as per required criteria. Structural 3D modeling is used for creating accurate structural building models of various building components and structural 3D models of various building structures play a decisive role for builders, contractors and architects to build their proposed building structures more effectively.

Structural modeling helps to find specific volumes of component and that allows builders or contractors to understand about how much material and component will be needed. It is also helpful for making 3D exterior views, 3D interior view with dimensional specifications, landscape structural design models and structural equation modeling.

Your CAD Company is sure to get a great advantage over your market rivals in areas like improved usability, lowered production costs and more appealing products as well as various other competitive benefits with the help of accurate 3D models.
